Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000 annually
The SIMS Foundation (SIMS) provides mental health and substance use recovery services and support for musicians, music industry professionals, and their dependent family members. Through education, community partnerships, and accessible managed care, SIMS seeks to destigmatize and reduce mental health and substance use issues, while supporting and enhancing the wellbeing of the music community at large.
SIMS is seeking a proactive and creative Marketing & Development Coordinator who possesses initiative, strong attention to detail and the ability to follow through on tasks to work alongside the Chief Advancement Officer. The person in this role will lead public-facing efforts to market and promote the work of the SIMS Foundation by managing social media platforms, marketing collateral production, content creation, and graphic design. In addition, the person in this role will also assist with community outreach, events, fundraising opportunities, and general development tasks, as needed. This role will support the SIMS Development Team in making a direct impact on the well-being of our community.
Job Responsibilities
Manage SIMS Foundation’s social media accounts, achieving consistency in messaging, branding, and posting;
Develop and maintain an annual marketing strategy and editorial calendar, working in tandem with other staff to highlight campaigns and events, and lead content creation efforts for social media, website content, print, and e-marketing initiatives;
Create graphics and media assets needed for marketing and promotion (Canva) and assist in managing external marketing contractors and interns, as needed;
Assist with the development of content for donor and stakeholder communications, such as the monthly newsletter;
Assist the Community Engagement Coordinator in the promotion and execution of events benefiting SIMS;
Conduct research and outreach needed to form partnerships, as needed;
Assist in updating the CRM, Bloomerang, as needed, particularly as it relates to communications and marketing contacts;
Represent SIMS at community events, as needed and available.
Qualifications
Minimum of three years of experience in a marketing, communications or nonprofit development role with strong focus on marketing;
Graphic design skills and proficiency in Canva required, video editing skills preferred;
Proficiency managing social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Hootsuite) and understanding of best practices for increasing online audience reach and engagement;
Project management experience and time-management skills for juggling numerous time-sensitive projects simultaneously;
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills;
Excellent interpersonal skills for representing SIMS at local events, and available to work occasional evening and weekend events;
Strong analytical skills to evaluate marketing metrics effectively;
High degree of creativity and innovation to develop unique, effective marketing strategies.

Dental and Vision benefit costs are covered 50% by the organization and 50% by the employee.?
Vacation: Employees accrue vacation and sick leave on a biweekly basis beginning the first day of employment. Vacation and sick leave are calculated during each payroll process. Employees may only take time that is accrued. Therefore, employees may not borrow time in advance of accrual. Each full-time employee earns fifteen (15) days of vacation per year for the first 3 years and (20) days of vacation thereafter. Each full-time employee earns twelve (12) days of sick leave per year. Employees may carry over, on the first of every calendar year, a maximum of 40 hours of vacation (5 days) from the previous year. These must be used within the first 90 days of the calendar year.?
