WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The Scheduler II reports directly to the Manager, Short Range Planning. This position is responsible for the development of Fixed Route schedules for CapMetro transit services using manual and automated scheduling techniques. Scheduler II will analyze various types of data to support scheduling and service planning activities. Assist the Superintendent of Scheduling in developing operator schedules for bidding.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Planning, Statistics, Geography, or related field. Related experience may substitute for educational requirements on a year for year basis.
- Three (3) years’ experience related to transit operations.
- Experience in date collection design, analysis strategies, and using word and database applications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Advance computer skills, including ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, database, and other custom software applications.
- Ability to work in a confined, stressful environment.
- Excellent time management, task, and detail-oriented skills.
- Ability to learn and retain new skills quickly.
- Ability to be flexible and can adjust to changes as required.
